Rick's Motorsport Electrics is adding new Ignition Coils for the VT500 series of bikes.

Pricing is $89.95 each.

These are a simple bolt on installation direct replacement for the original coils.

The new coils are more compact & smaller diameter than the OEM coils. Supposedly the coil discharge to the sparkplug is a bit stronger than OEM. I ran the new coil for about 300 miles without problem. Install the plug wires, then bolt up & plug in. Pretty cool that an after-market company is offering new parts for these vintage bikes.
