Hello from lower Alabama

Just joined. Been interested in the VT Ascots since a friend bought one new in 83. Then later his brother picked up a used one. They both still have theirs and Mike's has only 8100 miles on it. Although time has not been kind to ether of them.

I picked up one a few month ago and have been having a ball fixing it up. Rejeted the carb, built a custom exhaust, new tires, painted and polished a few things. Here's a pic. I've changed a few things since this pic and will get up a new/better one soon.

I've had lots of experience with vintage Suzuki's. 80 to 82 850s to 1100s. Thought it would be neat to get a really unique bike for a change. Few people have ever seen an Ascot. Mike and I took our bikes to a show in Mobile last month and had a lot of fun with them. The folks that knew what they were hadn't seen one in a long while much less two at a time.
