1983 Ascot 4 Sale. Bellingham, Wa.
« on: January 03, 2014, 07:53:48 pm »
Found on Craigslist.

I am selling my Ascot. It was a great, reliable first bike for me, but I have now moved on to bigger and faster two wheeled machines and this commuter just wasn't cutting it. I'll be honest, the bike isn't pretty but she runs like a top! I am the third owner( to my knowledge) and in the two years I have ridden it, it never left me hanging, use it or abuse it, she just keeps on rolling.

Pros:
-all engine gaskets replaced June 2012
-starter rebuild july 2013
-front fork seals replaced march 2013
-carb cleaned june 2012
-rear tire replaced early this year ( 90% tread left)
-oil and filter changed regularly
- new clutch and speedometer cable

Cons:
- speedometer doesn't work( i go off rpms)
- doesn't like starting in the cold ( like really cold, ie below 40 F)

Bottom line: its a commuter. It will get you from point A to point B with quite a bit of fun in between.
Because I have purchased another bike, I am wanted to sell this one ASAP. The price posted is simply a number, give me an offer and the worst I can say is no. If you want my bike, you will call me, no texts: 36oh-twotwozero-ateO80
