Title: 78 CX 500 Gas Tank for a VT 500 Ascot
Post by: bb444 on October 21, 2013, 09:32:28 am
I have a line on a 1978 CX 500 gas tank in good condition.  Is the CX a double tube spine bike?

I'm afraid that I cannot answer that question as I'm not familiar with the CX500. Is that the bike that has a V-Twin with the cylinders arranged out to the sides somewhat like the Motoguzzi?

You might have to locate a CX500 Forum to ask your question.

Good luck

Yes it is, similar to the Moto Guzzi.  Thanks for the CX 500 forum suggestion.

A 700 or 750 Nighthawk is a very similar shape on the outside. Should be loads in the States.
