Title: Front fork pinch bolt

Hello all, I have a couple questions: is the front fork tube threaded for the pinch bolt? I have two sets of front forks one is threaded and one is not. Which is correct?

Originally threaded but most have by now been stripped and drilled through with a bolt and nut.
