It is a bit early to cut loose any of the details, mostly because they have yet to be finalized, but there are a couple of new products that will be made available soon if all goes well.
It's "shocking" that any new developments & after-market products would be produced for our VT Ascots at this time, but when there is enough of a demand, usually someone will step up to fill the void.
I will provide as much information as soon as possible whenever I receive an update.
Take care

any updates? ;D

any updates? ;D
Not yet. The prototypes are being developed & tested. That's about all that I know about so far. I don't think I'm supposed to let the cat out of the bag yet. It won't be a huge performance enhancing part. More of a modern upgraded replacement part.
Thanks for the interest.

What a tease, is it a CDI box?
-
Someone is making replacement coils?
Choke cables would be sweet too....
-
Sorry guys, but I'm not at liberty to say at this time.
You think there is a demand for VT Ascot choke cables? Maybe someone should approach one of the cable suppliers with the idea. Does anyone know if it is the same cable that the Shadow uses, or is the Shadows cables longer? There is more of a demand for Shadow parts then there are for Ascot parts, simply due to the larger number of Shadows out there. It's nice to manufacture a part that will work for both bikes.
Thanks

Could it be a new carb set-up? :)

No. Nothing that exotic. I would like to find a pair of carbs that are a size larger. Someone once mentioned the carbs from a Honda Trans Alp. Not many of those bikes around though.

Plenty of Transalps and Deauvilles etc here in the UK.
May work nice with a pod filter on the air snorkel.
What about Hawk carbs in the USA?

Seems to be a joke this tread ! ;D
Why so much mystery? 8)
If it is possible to redo certain parts, we shall be every takers !

Rather than to transmit false information, ask me !
I had and know most of these machines.
The carbs of the transalp does not go. Wider, higher. (For the height, we can remove the airbox, but for the width, pipes do not fall aligned. )
Nevertheless they are 34mm but bodies are more cumbersome !
On the other hand, we can re - bore VT5 carbs to 34mm ! (needs to modify cylinders pipes intakes too !)

When the part is out of the testing stage & if it makes it into production, you all will find out. I just don't want to say, hey check this out & then it doesn't come to fruition for some reason.
Thanks for the info on the Trans-Alp carbs. I was starting to look at them on eBay. There happens to be a couple of machine shops in town that offer carb boring. I'll have to check them out.
