Just joined, wanted to contribute something I did to the stock muffler. I removed the stock main baffle, then put a stainless end cap on. I tried using a hole saw and such, but just couldn't get it to come out. So I ended up taking the muffler to a muffler shop, who cut a circle around the stock tip, and I was able to then wiggle out the rather large main baffle. There's still a smaller one down at the bottom, so it's not totally free-flowing. But it sounds much better than stock, and at least on my bike, I didn't have to rejet, only adjust the idle.

Thats very helpful, thank you. Mine already had the smaller one removed i believe, and i have been looking at other mufflers to put on which I'm still going to do. But i can still use my stocker for now but i was in search of doing the same as you
