Hello Brother/Sister Riders!
I've been riding for 45 years but don't know much about the FT.
I'm looking to get one for my son's first bike and have my eye on this one for $1900.
The seller assures me that it's been restored but I am hoping to get some input from authorities, like yourselves, on whether it's a good deal or not...and any other tips you'd be so kind to share.
Many thanks in advance for any input!

That FT looks familiar. If it's the one that I'm thinking of... It has been gone through & dialed in.
Is the seller open to offers?
Good luck

Thanks...says he's firm at $1900.

Saweeet! Snatch it up quck, before someone else does. Well worth the asking price, nice job he did on it- I love the fork legs blacked out(see shots of my FT, heh heh) & the pod air filter! Let us know when/if you get it, Lefty.

Thanks for the input, fellas...we'll see if the Mrs. gives me any grief ; j

Yes ,this looks to be a xclnt built bike and the owner has most likely has more time. labour, money, in this build than he is asking.1900 sounds like a lot but really is not for the time and effort to build

Well put, TriGuyRacer! if I were local, I would pay 1900 for that bike. The guy probably has done a really nice job, put alot of time & money into it.
What's up with it, by the way? Did you go pick it up?

I wish I didn't drag my feet like I did...looks like somebody jumped in and grabbed it so I'm SOL.
I appreciate the input. This forum rocks so I'm sure to be back once I pull the trigger on some fun thumper.

Make sure it isn't all paint! Ask about the fork seals, who reinstalled them, starter issues that have been repaired, age of tires, check the rear shocks for resistance, sprocket wear, age of chain.
I looks ok and I think, generally, that the price is in the ballpark.
