Title: little prick
Post by: wrk2ride_ride2wrk on April 14, 2015, 07:02:45 pm
I've noticed some lag at low revs, fooled around with pilots. finally put it down to the CV carb. Its been puzzling me though, trying to get the idle down, idled fine, no stall, not rough, but would go below 1500 revs.
So poking around I found little prick holes in the air cutoff valve, but I havent had any decel popping. Also noticed some buildup on the AV piston, so I'm thinking this was having it stick, enriching the slow circut. Ordered a new valve, be interesting to see how it changes

Weird, do you suspect the pin holes were added on purpose by the previous owner?

nope, hard to see with the naked eye, but if you hold it up to the light you'll see the rubber has a mesh interior,  first breakdown is seeing through that mesh.

Fitted the new valve... but have'nt ridden it yet... CDI is cooked... :(
waiting on  one I got on auction
