Hello,
I have been Lurking for some time and I enjoy this forum!
The first question that I have is that I want to know the Wattage output from the FT Ascot. Everything stock.
Then I wanted to know if there was a way that I could run 90W at one time with no problems with battery and such.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum. I hope that you are able to find what you are looking for.
I'm not very up to speed on the FT Ascot electrical system. From what I recall there are two electrical systems. This link will take you to the wiring diagram & some other information on the dual electrical system: http://ascot500.com/index.php?topic=126.0
Good luck

I was looking through my manual & the spec for alternator output is 7amps max @ 5000RPM. I'm not seeing a wattage output. What are you trying to do, run a brighter headlight?
For more output, you could have your stator rewound by an alternator shop, more wire winds=more output, guys with dirt bikes that want to make them streetable do this all the time.
Oh yes, welcome to the boards!

My manual states that the alternator is rated at 170W @ 5000 RPM, on page 1-3. Where did you see 7A, lefty?
The minimum load the bike draws is about 78 W:
headlight on low =55W
taillights=16W
speedo and tach lights=6.8W
This also assumes that the battery has recovered from the drain of the electric starter.

Oh I see it now, chalk it up to 3 14hr shifts & not enogh sleep.
So the FT puts out 170W at 5000 RPM, My queStion is still what kind of load are you talking about increasing, and have you researched stAtor winding for more output?

Thank you for the quick responses.
I am going to be running a dual light headlight setup with 30w (single light, low) and 60w (double light, high)
I will also be running a small LED Tail light that wont pull too many watts.

Check out the "FILES" section on the Yahoo FT Ascot Owners Group: https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/honda-ascot/files
You are looking for the title: FT500 Additional Lights I will attempt to attach the PDF below.
Looks like it can probably be done. If you use LED turn signals, you will need an LED flasher unit like this one: https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/motorcycle-accessories/lf1-s-pin-universal-motorcycle-electronic-flasher/193/841/
Good luck
