Interesting the part about the carb, I have an ft 500 -82, that was bought new in Sweden. And i have the 35cv Carb. But i know that Sweden has had very strict emission rules for quite some time.
Seeing that the ad is in english(most ads in Sweden at the time was translated) maybe it was published in Britain?  Could there be an British version with bigger carb?

I also live in Sweden just like Andre and according to a magazine which has been passed down between all previous owners, it came with a 43mm carb. Look at the pics.

PS: carburator is called "forgasare"
