heated jacket?

J6G1Z:
I think I would be more interested in a vest with its own power source.

You could use it on other bikes, or activities.

I was at the Seattle Motorcycle Expo on Sunday and I got some really good information! Most battery powered heated vests have just enough juice to work for the riding I'm looking to do so I think I'm going to go that direction. I also was looking into a pair of heated gloves and they say that the battery powered ones aren't worth the trouble. The Ascot single produces just enough power to run a pair of wired gloves so I think that's going to be an investment for me in a month or so.

J6G1Z:
I bought a parts bike once that had heated grips. They were brass looking strips that taped to the bars & then the grip went over the heating strips. I don't know how well they work though. The only problem that I see with heated gloves & vest is the connecting wires. Obviously the wires will have to be run carefully so they aren't in the way. Good luck with your project & please let us know the results.
